Hello and welcome! Please understand that this website is not affiliated with Caron in any way, it is only a reference page for collectors and those who have enjoyed the classic fragrances of days gone by.

The main objective of this website is to chronicle the history of the Caron fragrances and showcase the bottles and advertising used throughout the years.

However, one of the other goals of this website is to show the present owners of the Caron perfume company how much we miss the discontinued classics and hopefully, if they see that there is enough interest and demand, they will bring back these fragrances!

Please leave a comment below (for example: of why you liked the fragrance, describe the scent, time period or age you wore it, who gave it to you or what occasion, any specific memories, what it reminded you of, maybe a relative wore it, or you remembered seeing the bottle on their vanity table), who knows, perhaps someone from the current Caron brand might see it.

Caron Perfume Bottles

The three most sought after perfume bottle from Caron are Adastra, Alpona and Voeu de Noel. These three perfumes were presented at the Worlds Fair in 1939. A 1939 article has this to say about the perfumes "The one illustrated is "Adastra" in a lovely bronze bottle, "Alpona" in a fan -like bottle and "Voeu de Noel" in a beautiful frosted bottle with embossed flowers. Caron is the only perfumer who took advantage of the World's Fair Theme "World of Tomorrow."

Several bottles were produced by Baccarat, so be sure to check the base of your perfume for any markings, the perfume bottles are for:
  • Narcisse Noir
  • Or et Noir
  • Fete de Roses
  • Lady Caron
  • Bellodgia
  • Tabac Blond
  • Fleur de Rocaille
  • Poivre
  • With Pleasure
  • Nuit de Noel

Other perfume bottles were produced by Pochet et du Courval, Cristal Romesnil and Cristallerie de Pantin.

The 5/8 oz size mini perfume bottles for Tabac Blond, Nuit de Noel and Bellodgia made their first debut in 1938, these were the smallest sized replicas of the larger size bottles.

Only one perfume bottle was made by Lalique for Caron. In 1998, a frosted glass limited edition flacon holding 2 oz of N'Aimez que Moi parfum was issued in 1998. It was housed in a black velvet accordion-style presentation display box. Hand inscribed on to bottom "B425" and "Lalique France" and stamped "2030". Bottle measures 2-1/2" H x 3" in Diameter. Box measures approximately 6" H x 4-1/4: W x 4-1/4" D. This bottle retailed for 4,000F in 1998.

  2. I have a BEAUTIFUL frosted oval body lotion jar Bain Sacre made in France. The label is worn, but I believe it says "Caron Paris". Can anyone tell me what year this is from? It has a beautiful GOLD lid, I keep it my dresser to store jewelry.

  3. Unsure why you say there are NO Caron vessels made by Lalique? I personally OWN a Large (~4")Nuit de Noel usual black flacon in the rounded greenish (can't remember what color its called right now) box that has the word "Lalique" inscribed into the bottom of the vessel via Lalique's normal acid etched process. It also has the usual matching number inscribed underneath the bottle in the far left hand upper corner & underneath the stopper insertion peg ;)
