Infini c1970

Infini by Caron: launched in 1970. It was created by Gerard Lefortis and as a tribute to space travel. The Sege Mansau book lists Max Gavarry, master perfumer from IFF as the fragrance's composer.

The name is directly inspired by the 1912 Caron perfume L'Infini by Ernest Daltroff.

The original L'Infini was discontinued, date unknown. Still being sold in 1957. In 1943, the perfume was changed to Infini.

Fragrance Composition:

So what does it smell like? It is classified as an aldehydic floral chypre fragrance for women. It begins with a fresh, shimmering aldehydic top, followed by a classic elegant floral heart, resting on a woody, powdery, feminine base.

A classic, modern fragrance, 15 years in the blending, here is the holiday essence of youthful daffodils and lilies, elegant rose, jasmine and tuberose and sophisticated vetiver and sandalwood... three sparkling qualities captured only in this unique French perfume. Infini for holidays ...and infini-ty!
  • Top notes: aldehydes, bergamot, coriander, neroli, peach
  • Heart notes: tuberose, orris root, French jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, carnation, rosa centifolia, ylang-ylang
  • Base notes: Ambrein, musk, sandalwood, tonka bean, vetiver, civet

Bottles:

The unique bottle was created by Serge Mansau in 1970 who envisioned it as a modern, never ending infinity symbol. The bottle was produced in France by Pochet et du Courval.

Fate of the Fragrance:
